Traditional Sweetgrass Baskets
Jery B. Taylor's baskets are made of natural materials indigenous to the Low Country — Sweetgrass, Pine and Bullrush. The basket names may indicate a decorative technique used, the primary use of the basket, or a spiritual influence.
The pieces shown below represent Jery's extensive range of basket weaving techniques, her excellent eye for decoration and her outstanding construction details. Of course they are all different sizes, ranging from 2 to 13 inches tall, and from 6 to 17 inches wide! Click through to see a larger image and product description.
